Calendar of Events
Finding the facts of events that happened hundreds of years ago is difficult, to say the least. The internet has become an incredible boon to researchers as primary sources such as National Archives, museums, and libraries index the millions of items and make them available to the public. Nevertheless, there are thousands of local museums and sites that have documents that are not indexed anywhere and the only way to get to them is to go there and ask local experts.
In May 2008 traveled to Edinburgh to visit the National Archives of Scotland to get a copy of part of the Lyon in Mourning.
- Scottish tour
In July 2010 a trip to Scotland that took in Forsay, Loch nan Uamh, Mallaig, Isle of Skye, Glenfinnan, Fort William, and Culloden Moor yielded many pictures and bonuses such as the visit to Monkstadt House and the cleared crofts of Galtrigil (home of Donald Macleod "The Faithful Palinurus" - Bonnie Prince Charlie's Pilot).
